The fourth sculpture to be featured in the Vuam series is that of Sylvia Earle. Since 1998 she has been a National Geographic explorer-in-residence. Sylvia Earle was the first female chief scientist of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and was named by Time Magazine as its first Hero for the Planet in 1998. The Vuam series is a collection of sculptures focusing on prominent ocean pioneers. The sculptures are currently in California and have been featured on the grounds of the Google headquarters in Mountain View, California. Viktor the sculptor lives and works out of the South side of Chicago.
